What's wrong with our countries health care system? Well here is a great example. I was talking to a lady today who has severe arthritis in her hands. Her finger is bent back to a point where it is touching her palm and is very painful.

She needs to go to her doctors office but she doesn't have the $30 co-pay so will be visiting the ER instead. I asked if her insurance would cover the ER visiting 100%. She believes it will.

Now first off.. what is the sense of paying 100% for an ER visit but not 100% for a doctors office visit?

Second.. do you see a problem here? If someone who HAS insurance still can't afford to go to the doctor what about the millions of Americans who have NO insurance?

I can't even talk the way these people talk:

And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk.

except these knuckleheads.
Mushmouth is what they speak!?
You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of
your mouth.
In fact you will never get any kind of job making a decent
living.
People marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an
education,
and now we've got these knuckleheads throwing that all away.?
The lower economic people are not holding up their end in
this deal.
These people are not parenting.
They are buying things for kids. $500 sneakers for what?
And they won't spend $200 for Hooked on Phonics.
I am talking about these people who cry
when their son is standing there in an orange suit.
Where were you when he was 2?
Where were you when he was 12?
Where were you when he was 18?
And, how come you didn't know that he had a pistol?
And where is the father?
Or who is his father?
People putting their clothes on backward:
Isn't that a sign of something gone wrong?
People with their hats on backward,
pants down around the crack,
isn't that a sign of something?
They're walking around with their nasty underwear showing,
and
holding onto their pants to keep them from falling to the
ground!

Or are you waiting for Jesus to pull his pants up?
Isn't it a sign of something
when she has her dress all the way up to her panty line,
and got all types of needle piercings
going through her body?
What part of Africa did this come from?
We are not Africans.
Those people are not Africans;
they don't know a thing about Africa.
With names like Shaniqua, Taliqua and Mohammed and all of
that crap, and all of them are in jail.
Brown or black versus the Board of Education
is no longer the white person's problem.
We have got to take the neighborhood back.
People used to be ashamed.
Today a woman has eight children
with eight different 'husbands' --
or men or whatever you call them now.
We have millionaire football players
who cannot read.
We have million-dollar basketball players
who can't write two paragraphs.
We as black folks have to do a better job.
Someone working at Wal-Mart
with seven kids saying...
you are hurting us.
We have to start holding each other
to a higher standard.
We cannot blame the white people any longer.
It is not for media or anyone of this time
anymore to say whether I'm right or wrong.
It is time, ladies and gentlemen,
to look at the numbers.
Fifty percent of our children are dropping out
of high school.
Sixty percent of the incarcerated males
happen to be illiterate. There's a correlation.
Tell the media to stop asking me what I think about people
who don't believe what I'm saying or feel that I'm too harsh
or feel that I'm just running my mouth because I'm old.
Seventy percent of the teenagers pregnant happen to be
African American girls.
Don't ask me to soften my message.

I know its been awhile. I have had a lot of stuff going on in my head to write about though.. Today what bugs me is people. Now I realize people bug me most of the time but Im talking about people who knowingly do whats wrong and don't feel any remorse about it at all.

I was on a message board recently where someone posted about an ebook they wrote. This ebook tells you how to cheat companies that are paying good money for research. I had to speak up and say I thought that this was wrong. Low and behold.. another member said she disagreed with me.. she had been using this tactics for awhile and didn't think it really hurt the companies at all. Now this might not be a big deal but I don't like people who lie, cheat or steal in any segment of the world. The only time I can imagine myself doing so would be to feed my children and even then I would probably have to go back someday and repay the person I stole from and confess.. When you look at the world around us you will easily see a lot of different people who have no qualms about lying cheating or stealing.. why is it so hard to just be honest and where do these people learn that it's okay to do or be anything other than honest?

O.J. Simpson Show/Book Cancelled!

How is this for the power of the people? They have cancelled the O.J. Simpson Book and Interview calling it "ill advised". Well duh! Now yes, I am one of those who would have watched it and I would have even read the book. Heck I would have even BOUGHT the book if the money were going to go to Nicoles children. However, the money should not have been going to O.J. and there are claims from his side that he wasn't going to recieve the money but that it was going to a third party. Rumor is though, that a third party funnelled the money to O.J.

The one thing I noticed this morning in the interview with Denise Brown was that she said O.J. is "ego driven". I can actually see that. Was this whole deal about the money, about telling the truth or just Simpsons way of getting back into the spotlight?

O.J. Simpson Writes a Book

The "Trial of the Century" is baaackkk. O.J. Simpson Writes a Book. Can you believe it? Personally, Im glad it is back. Yes, I was one of those who watched it everyday and if I wasn't home I actually took the time to tape it and I don't tape anything! I watched the tapes religiously every night. Hmmm I think I have a hard time using the term "religiously" in conjuction with this case!

So now here we are, 11 years later and NOW O.J. wants to speak up. Of course he isn't going to come out and say he did it but like one of the producers I am viewing the book and show as a confession. Why on earth would you write a book about how you would have done it if it had been you? More publicity? Is he hurting for money? Ever heard of a job?

I realize a lot of people find this completely sick and distasteful but I for one have been waiting a really long time to hear the truth and think this might be as close as we ever get. He is untouchable afterall.

Where are we?

Somali arrives in Minneapolis as a new immigrant to the
United States. He stops the first person he sees walking down the street
and says, "Thank you Mr. American for letting me in this country, and
giving me housing, food stamps, free medical care and free education!"
But the passerby says "You are mistaken, I am Mexican". The man goes on
and encounters another passerby. "Thank you for having such a beautiful
country here in America!" The person says "I no American, I Vietnamese."
The new arrival walks further, and the next person he sees he stops,
shakes his hand and says "Thank you for the wonderful America!" That
person puts up his hand and says "I am from Middle East, I am not an
American!" He finally sees a nice lady and asks suspiciously, "Are you an
American?" She says, "No, I am from Russia!" So he is puzzled, and asks
her, "Where are all the Americans?" The Russian lady looks at her watch,
shrugs, and says... "Probably at work...."

Abusing the "system"

Yesterday I was reading a thread where the topic was "Can I work while on disability?". I was amazed that the first ten responses were from people who were on disability and working in one form or the other. They also touched on about how much you could make without losing your disability benefits. Finally someone else jumped in and asked very politely that people be aware that they should actually need disability before collecting it.

This person got jumped on pretty bad for being so insensitive and all of these people obviously needed the disability or they wouldn't have gotten it. One person even went so far as to say they had been labeled extensively by doctors.

I finally had to say something. What I heard where people admitting that they could work but that they didn't want to lose their disability benefits by working too much! For goodness sakes. What ever happened to people feeling proud when they could work and actually get out of the system? What is so bad about that?

Now I know that there are tons of people with disabilities who will never be able to get out of the system because they truly cannot work. This includes people with physical and mental disabilities. If you CAN work, why wouldn't you want to get off of the disability insurance? Why do people feel like it is free money and they just can't lose it?

I don't get it.

Opinions and thoughts

Will it never end? Recently Mel Gibson made a huge boo boo. When he was arrested for drunken driving he made some pretty racist comments to the police offer arresting him and those comments were caught on tape.

Now I don't agree with the things he said at all but I am confused as to why we feel celebrities aren't allowed to have thoughts or opinions that don't mesh with our own.

The nation is made up of people with tons of differing opinions and thoughts. Just take a look at Rush Limbaughs fan base. Personally I don't like the guy at all. Should I not be able to express that thought without fear of losing my friends?

I just think we expect way to much of celebrities. I would like to see all celebrities and politicians express their true beliefs, thoughts and opinions. If we don't agree with them we shouldn't watch their shows, we shouldn't vote for them etc. We all liked Mel until we found out how he really felt. Did he suddenly start feeling that way or were we just all blinded by his brilliance? ha! I doubt it.

I have to agree. Entitled? She must be kidding. No one is "entitled" to anything!

This reminded me of a gentleman who called in last night to a talk show. He had heard the previous nights broadcast where the guest speaker said that if he were standing on the border and a lady with a baby came through and they were both hungry and cold he would give them some food and send them back across the border. The caller felt that the guest speaker was racist. Much like the lady in the above story. Race is not the issue here. I don't believe it would matter to us in the United States if illegal immigrants were Irish or Portugese. If there are billions of illegal immigrants of any race they are going to get the brunt of the blame. In our case the majority of illegal immigrants are from Mexico, simply because it is right there.

If we had 6 billion illegal immigrants from Ireland I guarantee we would be up in arms about the Irish too.

Entitled.. I don't think so.

No Blogging in India

Considering that America is a Country of freedoms, education and knowledge I am always amazed to find out the things that we don't know.

For instance did you know that last week India blocked blogger.com from the internet? How amazing is that?

I just happened to run across a blog that was talking about it because the Author lives in India. I couldn't really believe it but I clicked on a link to another blog and there it was again along with the article: http://in.rediff.com/news/2006/jul/17blog.htm

This got me to thinking, I remember reading about something that I think most people were aware of. China wanting Google to set up the internet so that only the sites they say can be viewed can be viewed. I thought this was the most incredible thing when I read about it. Can you even imagine living under that kind of cencorship? We can search on the term "censorship" for instance and the seach engines would probably return all kinds of varying viewpoints. If you live in China the only viewpoint you will see is that of the Chinese govt.

It is very sad in a way. Shouldn't we ALL as people in general have as much information available to us as WE want?

Parental Notification

Tuesday will have us all up in arms over parental notification laws once again. Abortion is a hot topic regardless of your affiliation but this takes it even a step further for most.

Do parents have a right to know if there daughter is seeking abortion or do we need to protect troubled girls from abusive parents and make sure they can get an abortion?

I want to know. If my daughter is in the emergency room and needs help she might not get it if they don't ask me first. If we are going to decide that a 14 year old girl can go on her own and get an abortion we need to change a lot of other laws as well.

A 12-14 year old girl really doesn't understand the ramifications of something as huge as an abortion. In most cases neither does an older teenager for that matter. They are only thinking about being scared and getting into trouble and possibly facing some embaressment. They aren't thinking about how they will feel afterwards and for the rest of their lives. They aren't thinking.

Abortion shouldn't be used as birth control and by making sure that a girl can get an abortion without telling her parents the chances arise that it will be used as birth control. Girls won't need to feel afraid of becoming pregnant. If there is no fear there is no need to worry about using condoms, etc.

So what about the girls who are going to get into serious trouble at home? The girls who may end up being abused because they got pregnant? Those girls probably shouldn't be in those homes anyway. If the parents are that abusive we need to make sure that all kids have the information they need to get help. Instead of making it easy to get an abortion let's make it easy to get counseling and help and make a pledge that if those girls come forward we will get them out of those situations.

Sexual crimes

Unbelievable! I just found out that a man who was convicted of sexually abusing children, not just one but multiple times in another County has just been released in our City. At the mens shelter downtown.

Here is the deal, he was convicted 15 years ago when he was 70. This means he is now 85. Now if he wasn't too old to harm children then what makes now any different?

To top it all off they admitted that if he was left free he would commit these crimes against children again. His defense to begin with was that the children initiated the sexual contact!

So tell me, why is this guy running around my town? Why is he living downtown where tons of kids hang out and where we have schools full of kids?

What is wrong with this picture?

Work ethics

Entitlement. That's what so many people these days feel. I was reading an article at www.thevoicenewsletter.com the other day and it got me to thinking. There were a number of articles actually but they all tied in together in this respect. Why do so many people these days feel as if something is owed to them? What ever happened to good old fashioned work ethics. Having been a manager I've seen this first hand. During an interview an applicant actually asked once, "what will this company do for me?". Shouldn't the question have been "What can I do for your company?"

The author at The Voice felt it was because people don't appreciate their Country anymore. They don't really understand what others have died for and why they died for it.

In some respects I can agree with that. I think more importantly it is that we have become spoiled. I remember having nothing and if I wanted anything I had to work for it. I have raised my children pretty much to be the same way but they still have been somewhat spoiled. What happened to kids going out and working alongside their parents in whatever business that was? Kids used to get up in the morning, help milk the cow, gather eggs, do chores and then go out and help in the fields. They knew they were expected to help out and there wasn't any whining. Well okay, maybe a little. Try to get a kid today to clean their room or help with the dishes! They would rather go and have a tooth pulled!

Kids used to be raised with a good work ethic and they carried that over into their adult lives and jobs. We need to get back to that. We aren't entitled to anything.

All this from money that was supposed to be spent on helping the victims of Katrina..

Did the victims get their houses rebuilt? Did they get food and support?

There are still many families suffering but the Secret Service has music!

Stem Cell research

What am I missing here? Stem Cell research is supposedly pretty important and can help make a lot of advances in the medical field. Over and over it gets shot down because so many people feel it can only happen if we extract the stem cells from aborted babies. Now I have always understood that the extraction can come from umbilical cords and I also thought I heard once that it could even come from bone marrow. (I could be misremembering the last one).

Why do we have to make it so difficult. Why can't we pass a bill that allows parents to donate the umbilical cords for research and leave abortion out of it. The bill can state that no part of an aborted fetus can be used for stem cell research. I would have gladly donated the placenta and umbilical cords from my births to be put to medical research if the opportunity had been there.

Foster Care

This past week we had some bad news in my area. Four kids were removed from their home and placed into foster care. The reasons they were removed from the home have not been released yet but we have heard everything from a messy home to drug paraphenilia being found. Whatever the reasons, once they were removed there were relatives who offered to take them in. The relatives were turned down and they were placed with a strange family in foster care. Two days later, the littlest one, a three year old was found drowned in the pool by the other children. What the heck!? Were was this "great" and "responsible" family? Now I am a mom. I know you can't watch your kids every second of everyday but I just can't imagine a four year old being out of my sight for so long that I wouldn't have been the one to find him. This is the second drowning of a foster kid in just a couple of months. If you are going to take my kids because my house is messy you better darn well make sure the family you are putting them with can take care of them. What is worse? A messy house or parents who don't know where the child is? Did they expect that the older kids were keeping an eye on him? Whatever the reasons when you look back at all the horrible things we have heard about foster care, the little girl in Florida who died because health and welfare didn't know where she was, the drowings, the kids in the cages, the kids crammed into one bedroom with dirty mattresses etc, we must fix the foster care system. Remember, kids can't speak for themselves. As responsible adults it is OUR duty to take a stand and demand that our kids are kept safe.

Colorado passes illegal immigration bills

Yea for the state of Colorado! They just passed a bill that would make people PROVE they are legal citizens if they are over the age of 18 and wanting to sign up for assistance! I am SO very impressed! This is a great step forward and Im sure it took a lot of effort to get this bill passed. I sure hope the rest of the country looks at this and follows suit!

Father poisons kids soup

This definately goes back to yesterdays post and a couple others in some ways. A man was accused of poisoning his childrens soup in a scheme to sue Campbell Soup company. http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/national/

Can you imagine doing such a thing? I certainly hope not. It takes a pretty sick mind to not only think of something like this but to carry it out as well. The father faces up to 75 years in prison. Will he get it? If he did this to those little kids I sure hope so! Here I thought the mouse in the soup was a bad thing...

Mouse in Soup

Carla Patterson, 38, and her 22-year-old son, Ricky Patterson, tried to sue Cracker Barrel for $500,000 after claiming they found a mouse in the vegetable soup the woman ordered at a Newport News restaurant on Mother's Day weekend in 2004. Yesterday a judge imposed a one year jail sentence and a $2500 fine. Carla cried during the sentencing.

Now why on earth should she be crying? She plans to appeal but tests showed that the mouse was not cooked and had not drowned. He had skull fractures. The conclusion based on the evidence is that the mouse was hit over the head and added to the soup.

Two things here. First Carla Patterson does plan to appeal. If she truly is innocent that means someone else added the mouse to the soup. Maybe she had infuriated the cook or the waiter?

Second, if she isn't innocent, then that means she was truly trying to run a scam. Remember the finger in the Wendys Chili?

Third, okay three things, if she is innocent why on earth would she try to sue the restaraunt? This is the part of our society I don't understand. No is ever allowed to make a mistake any more. Will we be suing because we find a hair in our pudding? With dna testing we can come to some conclusion about who the hair belonged to. Obviously the management should have ensured that their employees were wearing hair nets and/or shaving their heads!

Lunsford confession

All while I was growing up I really wanted to be a lawyer. I thought this was one of the most helpful and wonderful careers a person could have. I wanted to be a criminal defense attorney. I wanted to save all the people who were being wronged by our justice system. Then I discovered it didn't work that way. There was a downside.

Here is part of the downside. John Evander Couey confessed to killing Jessica Marie Lunsford age 9. His defense attorneys are trying to get the confession thrown out.

I couldn't do that. Why is our justice system built this way? Originally I'm sure it was all for very good reason. Now, it is just twisted and wrong the way these laws are used and abused.

If someone confesses to a killing and as in this case even goes so far as to tell the police where to find the body. That should be good enough! At that point you shouldn't even need to waste money on a trial. Straight to the judge for sentencing.

Read this news article and pay particular attention to the very first paragraph about how Jessicas body was found and think about what that little girl went through. Then come back and tell me I'm wrong: Lunsford confession Ruling

I was just listening to the news and now the media is all upset that a major coffee chain will start offering fruit drinks. The fruit drinks don't contain any caffeine. This is a problem? Well the problem seems to be that this coffee chain is trying to create "cradle to grave" customer loyalty. Well duh! The coffee chain won't admit to this strategy. Oh give me a break! So if I open a little mom and pop store and offer everything from candy to beer Im doing something wrong?

The flip side of the coin is that maybe everyone is worried we will be raising a generation of caffeine addicts and the coffee chain is doing the same thing that the big tobacco companies did.

Okay here is where I chime in. At what point did parents quit taking blame for these things? Why is it the fast food joints problem that parents don't cook healthy meals anymore? Why is it the coffee chains fault if kids are addicted to caffeine? Why is it the tobacco companies fault that a kid starts smoking?

It's just crazy. If a parent doesn't want their kid to be overweight they don't take them to eat at fast food places three times a week. If they don't want them smoking they talk to them and lecture them and supervise them until they hate us. If we don't want them being addicted to caffeine we limit their intake.

It's no wonder some parents are so lax these days. We always have someone else to blame.

Black Budget

I first heard about the "black budget" last night while listening to a radio show. I only caught parts and pieces but it was interesting enough that I decided to look into it some more today. Turns out that it's pretty old news but no one has ever done anything about it.

It is fascinating enough that I wanted to share it with you and find out what you think. Is it true or just rumor and speculation?

Politics and the War

Why does it all have to be about politics. I understand and support that we needed to go to war in Iraq. From the first day Bush was elected I predicted we would be back in Iraq to finish what his dad didn't do. I was actually surprised that it took so long for him to find an excuse to go back!

So now there we are. Everyone wants the troops to come home. Is that wise? Is our President keeping the troops there for a good reason or is it all political. The answer depends on who you ask and who you are willing to listen to. Personally I can see both sides. If we pull out our troops before everything is said and done we would probably be making a mistake. So at what point it is all said and done? Once Iraq can defend their own country would be a good answer. Well some people say we are already there. If that is the case then why aren't we leaving? Politics.

Invasion of Privacy?

So President Bush has a secret program to track money and find where financial support for terrorists is coming and going? So what? Some people see it as an invasion of privacy. The same for monitoring phone calls right after 9-11.

An invasion of privacy? I just don't get it. What are people so afraid of? What do you have to hide that you don't want your phone calls and financial data monitored?

Personally I don't think my money or phone calls would raise enough questions to be monitored. I want to know where terrorist money is coming from and if someone in my country is supporting them. I want to know if someone is talking about blowing up my city or any other city in the U.S.

Normally I don't support much that Bush proposes but in this case... snoop away!

Sex Offenders

Here is one of my big pet peeves. Sex offenders. I was just reading an article that an appeals court overruled a judges decision to require a sex offender to subject himself to periodic monitoring to see how he responds to erotic images if he wants out of prison.

Why do we keep letting sex offenders out of prison and then give them minimal monitoring. Sex offenders have a very high rate of recidivism. How enraged are we as a society when we find out a sex offender has been let out of prison and then killed someone? Look at the Shasta Groene case. Shasta and her brother and their family could have been spared the rapes and deaths if their victimizer had been kept in prison. I realize our prison system is overfull and bursting at the seams but we really have to look at the big picture. We have a ton of people in prison for offenses like driving without insurance, drugs, etc. So we let the violent sex offenders out and keep the people in who are driving without insurance? There has to be a better way.

Now people are going to screw up that is just the way we are. BUT we need to be stricter about some things. One violent sex offense and you are out. Not three strikes, ONE. If those are the rules and someone is still willing to take that risk..so be it.

Bush forced to set a budget a war

All I can say is everyone should flock to read this one! It's about time!

If we all ran our household budgets the way Bush runs our Countries can you imagine the trouble we would all be in?

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Senate voted unanimously on Wednesday to force President George W. Bush to submit a budget for the Iraq and Afghanistan wars instead of financing them in emergency bills that are pushed through Congress with minimal scrutiny.

Nanny sues manfucturer of recording device

Well this is interesting. A Nanny who was convicted and spent time in prison because of a videotape police watched is now suing the recording systems manufacturer!
The part in this that disturbs me is the reporting that she is upset the tape was time lapsed and she may not have been shaking the baby as violently as thought. Well if she was shaking the baby at all that is reason for concern.

Iraqi dolls

This is a little different but has to be brought up. While I was working the other day I had the news playing in the background. I heard talk about a doll manufacturer who had jumped right on the bandwagon after the death of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and built a special doll. Now I didn't catch enough of it to know if this doll was Abu Musab al-Zarqawi or based on someone else and that part doesn't really matter. What mattered was that this doll was horrid! It was a two sided doll. One side was normal and the other side depicted the character after death, blood, brains, gore and all. It was pretty disgusting.

Now hopefully anyone buying this doll is just buying it for themselves and locking it away for safekeeping or investment purposes.

What I don't get, and what applies to this blog is the fact that people aren't in an uproar over the doll. There has been so much talk this past decade or two about protecting our kids from these types of images. We aren't supposed to buy toy guns even though kids have played cops and robbers and cowboys and indians forever. Now suddenly guns are a bad toy. We shouldn't buy army action figures because it promotes violence, we shouldn't encourage or let them watch wrestling. We don't even know which movies they should be allowed to watch unless the industry puts a pg or g label on them. All of these things we can and can't do and all of these things we should and shouldn't do but not one word has been said about these dolls?

I tried to find a picture of this doll to post here for you but so far I haven't been able to find it again. I will keep looking and post it as soon as I find it!

Illegal Immigration and English

So now President Bush wants to help the illegal immigrants "assimilate" into the U.S. by making sure they learn English and U.S. History. Well isn't that nice?

It sounds nice, but then I remembered a time when I lived overseas. The country I was in didn't have any programs to help me assimilate. If I wanted to live there I had to take it upon myself to learn the language and customs. Guess what? That is exactly what I did!

I don't understand why Bush is so set on changing things. I understand that illegal immigrants are coming in everyday in droves and a lot are staying and most aren't paying taxes etc. What happened to our laws and justice system though? Why exactly aren't we actively picking up the illegals and sending them home?

Illegal Immigration and our welfare system

One of my biggest pet peeves today is that you don't have to be a citizen to take advantage of our welfare system. I don't understand how this can be.
Why do we allow this to happen and how do we change it? Where and how does it even begin to make sense?
I don't want anyone to go hungry or not have medical care but the citizens of our country should be the first people who are taken care of.
We have an incredible amount of people in the United States who have no health care. They pay their taxes and work hard everyday but they are not allowed to use our health care system, yet we will let people come over who are not citizens, who have never paid a dime in taxes and who are not working or who are working under the table have free health care?
The part that really bugs me about this is that I personally know of one family here. The head of the family is an illegal immigrant and works under the table. He makes almost three times what my husband makes yet because it is under the table he doesn't report it to health and welfare. Therefore his family gets food stamps, medical care, etc.
He makes more money than we do by himself, his wife also works. We make amount $100 too much a month to qualify for medicaid and even CHIP..
Where is the Justice?

Disability Insurance

The first thing I want to talk about is how people can get away with being on disability and not having to work.
Now I realize this does not apply to everyone who is collecting disability insurance but I can personally tell you of a number of people who are collecting who are perfectly able to work.
One person I know gets disability because she has post traumatic stress disorder from a bad marriage. Now I have been in a bad marriage yet I don't collect. This same woman works almost full time in a fairly laborious job. She gets paid under the table.
Another person I know has fibromyalgia and can't work so she collects disability. This disability does not prevent her from partying almost every night, shopping or gardening. Just working.
What is up with this? We complain about our deficit and all the money we are losing in social security, we complain about the drain on our welfare system yet we do nothing about people collecting money so they can stay home and not have to work when they are perfectly able?
